| Description | Purified anti-URO-1. The alpha 3 subunit of VLA-3 consists of the ECMR I (extracellular matrix receptor I) and URO-1. VLA-3 is also known as CD49c and forms a heterodimer with β1 integrin for cell adhesion functions. In tissues, the URO-1 antigen is expressed by glomeruli, the basal layer of transitional epithelium and skin, and the basement membrane of glands. URO-1 may serve as a helpful marker of certain tumors, as it has been found to be expressed in bladder tumors, most kidney and certain other epithelial tumo |
