Description | Alexa Fluor® 647 anti-Avi-tag. Avi-tag is a 15 amino acid sequence, and the minimal acceptor peptide of a larger protein domain that serves as a substrate for the biotin ligase BirA from E. coli. Although one of the major advantages of Avi-tag fusion proteins is a controlled biotinylation in this domain, Avi-tag is also a useful tool in cell and molecular biology. |
