| Description | Purified anti-CTCF. CTCF is an 83 kD transcription factor found in the nucleoplasm, which translocates to the nucleolus when the cell is undergoing cell differentiation. This protein can act as an insulator protein by binding to an unmethylated imprinting control region (ICR) structure and prevent the activation of cis-acting elements which in turn prevents gene activation.
