| Description | Purified anti-Presenilin 1 (NH2-terminus). The gamma secretase is a multiprotein complex consisting of presenilin, nicastrin, Aph-1 and Pen-2. All four proteins are necessary for full proteolytic activity. The gamma secretase complex catalyzes cleavage of a number of integral membrane proteins, which include the Amyloid precursor protein, Notch, Erb4, and E-cadherin.
