Description | CD310 (VEGFR-3) Antibody, anti-human, PE-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA419 recognizes the human CD310 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein also known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR-3) or Fms-like tyrosine kinase 4 (FLT-4). CD310 is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for the vascular endothelial growth factors VEGF-C and VEGF-D. It plays an essential role in adult lymph-angiogenesis, in the development of the vascular network, and the cardiovascular system during embryonic development. During early embryogenesis all endothelial cells express CD310, while in the adult tissues, CD310 expression disappears from the vascular endothelial cells and is observed only on the lymphatic endothelium. CD310 plays a major role in tumor growth and metastatic tumor cell dissemination. The receptor is over-expressed on lymphatic vessels in the vicinity of tumors and on the tumor vasculature and therefore may be an excellent target for an effective cancer intervention. | Additional information: Clone REA419 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
