Description | CD270 (HVEM) Antibody, anti-human, APC-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA247 recognizes CD270, which is also known as HVEM and derives its name based on the ability of types 1 and 2 herpesvirus gD to bind to it for entry into the cell. CD270 is a type 1 transmembrane protein with a predicted molecular weight of 30 kDa and is a member of the TNFR superfamily. CD270 transmits both activating and inhibitory signals for, e.g., interaction with receptors such as BTLA or CD160 attenuates TCR-mediated signaling, whereas interaction with receptor LIGHT allows co-stimulation of T and B cells. Expression of CD270 is widely distributed and is found on hematopoietic cells such as dendritic cells, Tregs, monocytes, neutrophils, NK cells, B cells, and T cells, as well as on non-hematopoietic cells. | Additional information: Clone REA247 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |
