Description | CD49a Antibody, anti-human, Biotin. Clone TS2/7 recognizes the cell adhesion molecule human CD49a, which is a 200 kDa heterodimeric integrin receptor. CD49a, also known as integrin α1, interacts with integrin β1 (CD29) to form the VLA-1 complex which functions as a receptor for collagen and laminin-1. Integrin α1 plays a role in cell-cell adhesion and T cell proliferation and is expressed by activated T cells, NK cells, neuronal cells, fibroblasts, and mesenchymal cells. |
