Description | This cJun Antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S63 of human cJun. The gene for cJun is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. The cJun protein is a transcription factor highly similar to the viral protein, and interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. The gene maps to 1p32-p31, a chromosomal region involved in both translocations and deletions in human malignancies. |
