| Description | Description: The antibody is a polyclonal antibody made to the metallopeptidase ACE-2. The antibody is made to a synthetic peptide based on the catalytic domain of human ACE-2. The antibody has been peptide-affinity purified, concentrated to 1 mg/ml, with the addition of 0.05% Sodium Azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. Angiotension Converting Enzyme 2 is a metallopeptidase of the MA(E) subclan of peptidases, also know as the-Glu-zincins-which use the motif HExxH as a catalytic triad. ACE-2 shares the HHEMGH catalytic domain with ACE-1, but otherwise homology is low between ACE-1 and ACE-2 (40% identity).
