Description | This SLC11A2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 262-291 amino acids from the Central region of human SLC11A2. This gene encodes a member of the solute carrier family 11protein family. The product of this gene transports divalent metalsand is involved in iron absorption. Mutations in this gene areassociated with hypochromic microcytic anemia with iron overload. Arelated solute carrier family 11 protein gene is located onchromosome 2. Multiple transcript variants encoding differentisoforms have been found for this gene. |
