Description | This APG8b (MAP1LC3B)-T93/Y99 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 74-106 amino acids from the Central region of human APG8b (MAP1LC3B)-T93/Y99. The product of this gene is a subunit of neuronalmicrotubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, which are involvedin microtubule assembly and important for neurogenesis. Studies onthe rat homolog implicate a role for this gene in autophagy, aprocess that involves the bulk degradation of cytoplasmiccomponent. |
