| Description | Rabbit anti ezrin (pTyr353) antibody recognizes ezrin, also known as villin-2, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 353. Ezrin is a member of the Ezrin Radixin Mosin (ERM) family. Ezrin functions as a linker molecule between the plasma membrane and the cytoskeleton. Phosphorylation of ezrin at tyrosine 353 occurs following treatment of cells with epidermal growth factor. Phosphorylation of ezrin at tyrosine 353 is related to signal survival of PI3K/Akt pathway (Gautreau et al. 1999) |
