| Description | Specificity: Chk1 antibody (Ser345) detects endogenous levels of Chk1 only when phosphorylated at serine 345. The antibody will detect species specific phosphorylation as follows: Human: Ser345, Mouse: Ser345, Rat: Ser345. Chk1 is required for checkpoint-mediated cell cycle arrest and activation of DNA repair in response to the presence of DNA damage or unreplicated DNA. May also negatively regulate cell cycle progression during unperturbed cell cycles. |
