| Description | Specificity: MAP1LC3B antibody is human, mouse and rat reactive. Multiple isoforms MAP1LC3B are known to exist. MAP1LC3B antibody is predicted to not cross-react with MAP1LC3A or MAP1LC3C. Microtubule-associated proteins MAP1A and MAP1B are composed of a heavy chain and multiple light chains, one of which is LC3. There are three human LC3 orthologs, MAP1LC3A (alpha), MPA1LC3B (beta) and MAP1lC3C, which exhibit different expression patterns. In addition to copurifying with brain microtubules LC3 beta proteins have also been found to localize to autophagosome membranes in response to cell stress. |
