| Description | Acetyl Cholinesterase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Acetyl Cholinesterase [Bovine Erythrocytes]. Cross reactivity against Acetyl Cholinesterase from other sources is unknown. Acetyl Cholinesterase is abundantly expressed in erythrocytes and is part of the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. Anti-Acetyl Cholinesterase cancels signal transduction at the neuromuscular junction via hydrolysis of acetylcholine as it is released into the synaptic cleft by the motor neurons. Anti-Acetyl Cholinesterase antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience and Neurotransmitter research. |
