CAIII is a cytoplasmic isoenzyme, but is released into the circulation following injury. RANDOX recombinant CAIII comprises a 260 amino acid fragment (1-260) corresponding to the mature CAIII protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.
